Roll out from Samford 9.15-9.30 for a ~60min trip up to Mt Mee. Stopping at the Pitstop Cafe for a coffee/smoko break and photo op.

From here we can either go north or back south depending on time restraints. This will probably be decided on the day once we reach the pitstop.

OK so a cruise has been tentatively booked on the fb group for the last weekend of this month, as one of our QLD club.libians will be moving south for the winter (and probably indefinitely).

Just trying to gauge when suits everyone best. A lot of people aren't able to make Saturday. I assume not many will be able to make Friday. Not sure if nights suit many. I can only early Sunday morning because I'm working Sunday night. Cast your votes and I'll compare with the poll on facey to choose the most suitable day.

The other thing we need to discuss is location. I'm easy for wherever, though something other than Nebo/Glorious would be a nice change. Throw your 2c in now. KGO

Nebo/somerset/maleny would be an awesome cruise, but expensive and timely. Im easy. Tambourine or Springbrook also nice drives.

I suggest I would run out of fuel twice doing the above route :).

Early start on the Sunday would be good as I want to go to the Ausgarage "A Day for Car Enthusiasts" meet at Strathpine, it's on 12-4pm

That AusGarage meet sounds like a bit of fun! Shame I won't be able to make that :(.

OK so looks like Sunday morning might be a goer. How early is too early? Would everyone be ok with an 8-8.30 meet up? I'm trying to cater for the people with a lengthy trip to the starting point and I think about this time worked for most on the last cruise I attended (or very nearly didn't haha)

8-8:30 is fine for me. I'm coming from Sunny Coast.

What's the plan for the route? Back up to Maleny? (Would be perfect for me lol)

At this point in time I'm still unsure as to which route we're driving. I'm almost tempted to suggest the Nebo/Glorious run again purely because we have people coming from both the gold and sunny coast, as well as out around Ipswich/toowoomba I believe. And because I don't know of any other decent runs around here haha.

Personally, I'm easy as Sunday morning. I'm based in brissie so I'm happy to go wherever. But if the people that are located further away would like to throw in their 2c we might be able to find a location that suits the majority.

Maleny is a beautiful drive, I'm a bit over Nebo/Glorious tbh.

I'll try to go either way though, it's always fun :)

Yeah I've heard good things about the Springbrook run. A chick at work (impreza driver, don't hold that against her as she might be tagging along haha) suggested it. However I have heard the fun police tend to frequent the area, so if this is the case then it may pose a problem for a group of car enthusiasts cruising through the area.

I would like to do Maleny as well, it's a fuckin beautiful area. Awesome views which would make for a good photo opportunity. I'm just worried that either one of these destinations will eliminate the members from opposite ends of the coasts.

Might just try and push the issue with people here and on facey to try and get an idea on where would be suitable, then go from there.

How about meet at the cafe in Samford, take Mt Samson Road to Dayboro, then Mt Mee Road to the Pitstop Cafe http://www.pitstoponmtmee.com.au for a rest, then Campbells Pocket Road to Wamuran.
Anyone who's still keen could go onto Glasshouse Lookout and/or Maleny.
