Sunshine Coasters

Postby UrB3stFr!3nd » Fri Jun 28, 2013 4:19 pm

Hey all people on or near the Sunshine Coast. Wondering if anyone would be keen to chat as I am looking to make my 07 2.0R sedan look and perform better. And am relatively new to the modding game.
Would much appreciated just to have a chat or even meet up.

Thankyou
Jack :)

Welcome mate.

I'm from the Sunny coast but moved to Darwin about 4 months ago.

There aren't too many active Lib drivers on the coast.. Probably at least 5 or so that are on the forums but not many post haha, there's a few guys in Bris too but all the action seems to happen down south :(

What plans have you got for your Lib mate?

I'm surprised i haven't seen more SC people on here... every time i go for a drive in the ranges i usually see at least a couple of libs that seem to be modified in some form.

Oh really, that little amount of people. I see a few Libs on the road so it's a little surprising.
But any advice is helpful whether it's from here or Vic. :)

Seeing as I am quite new when it comes to modding and the technical specs and am very eager to learn.

My Lib at the moment is Stock, however the plan is to make it a little more fun to drive, by starting off with Catback exhaust and air filter or if possible a pod filter, for a bit of noise. Then progress from there to make it one sexy beast to put it simply. :P

So I am very keen to listen to any suggestions or tips from anyone on here as I have had a look around the forum and so many great mods and rides.

Sorry for the novel haha.
Cheers mate.

Hey mate
I was floating between the gold coast and sunny coast (glasshouse) but I'm in brisneyland at the moment. There seems to be heaps of libs in that area ay!

My lib is stock apart from the resonatorectomy. From what I have learned, a pod filter isnt worth it, get a decent brand panel filter and replace the intake tubing with some silicon hose that runs from the stock intake box to the front air vent scoop behind the grill or down into the hole on ghe drivers side of the engine bay- that's what I'm going to do soon.

I'm keen to meet up with other liberty enthusiasts and chat shit like yourself. Would be nice to get out on the cruise coming up next weekend but I wont be able to make it.

Ahh good old Brizzyland.

Cheees dude. The Pod filter was only an idea. But looking at the setup, it would have required removal then remounting the Oxygen measurement gauge and that could possibly mess with the electronics and cause more issues. So the panel filter idea is the way to go I reckon. Thankyou again

Yeah I'd definitly be keen to meet up with other enthusiasts, and hopefully can make the Cruise that is coming up soon.

Why don't you guys seek out and meet up with the Forester owners on the SSC, you all have a common interest i.e. Subaru and modifications etc. the engine are the same across both platforms etc.

If you have a look through this thread you might be able to contact some of the SSC participants to organise a meet.
I know it's last years thread but it was the most current I could find in a hurry.

I'm also on the Sunshine Coast.
Same as with Kody - I'd find it a lot easier to go to a cruise if I didn't have to drive 1-2 hours to get to the meeting point XD
I need to know ALLLL of the things!
