There's a few places you could meet over that way. You could either meet somewhere like the Mt Cootha Botanic Gardens (still 10 mins from the start) or there's a ranger station literally right at the start of the drive. The Ranger station has a car park etc, but I'm not sure if they have a boom gate on it. They never used to. The Gap Tavern carpark is another option. I'll lead for a while if needed (get the 2.5 vs 3.0R rivalry going ), but I'm also happy to sit out at the back (depends if I have the kids or not - although it's so hard to drive this road and not give it everything).

Hmmm, I wonder. I always seem to hit a golf ball better, or score more runs in cricket after a few beers. Surely I can apply the same logic to driving a car along Mt Glorious.

Yeah the pub or the servo would work, the servo is a lot closer to the start of the run though. I'm pretty easy so don't mind going either

So the 7/11 or pub, I think the 7/11 could be convenient, everyone can make sure they have enough fuel?
Yet the pub may be quieter, therefore more space, and it's the pub...
At this stage I'm thinking a 12pm/1pm meet, half hour wait for everyone then the departure. Does this work for everyone?

Well possibly the tavern would be better, but I don't like our chances of getting 10+parks at a pub on a Saturday at midday.
Last time I went we only had 3 cars, but we met at the shopping complex on Waterworks road, but again we may have the same issue. Plus it's hard to get out of there as a group...
What does everyone think about the tavern?

So what's the go and where we meeting? Managed to get time off from the wife and rug rats, so I'm good to go. Is there a group meeting up at the Gap somewhere and what time? I'm away this week and won't be back till about 10am Saturday morning. Hopefully enough time to clean the car lol
Looking forward to it. Be nice if at least half a dozen come along.

A lot of us need it to be in the afternoon because of work so I was thinking 12-1pm. That still gives us plenty of time for the drive, and wash before hand if need be.

Is everyone happy with that?

Thats fine for me, so meet in the carpark of the tavern at like 1230?
