Good stuff! It'll be a great sight if its flooded over. Looking at the forecast it might be raining!! Unfortunately I've only been in Canberra 8months so not sure on any alternatives! We can figure it out when we meet up :)

Apols all, News in after a service yesterday is that my timing belt was not adjusted properly when it was done for th 100k service, result is it's got a nice mark along the middle of the belt, and little rubber shavings either side of that :-( So, new timing belt kit for me :-( So, I'm out for today sadly. Hope you guys have a blast!

Dubya.

Only bought the car in August, so this was it's first service locally (got it from QLD and drove it back). My mechanic and I had just wanted to check that the belt had been replaced as it should have been in the major service and expected to see wirting on the belt still (should still be new enough). Opened the cover and found a mark a bit short of a cm wide in the middle of the belt and little bits of rubber on either side of the belt :-( Oh well, it's not too bad yet, but obviously the last thing I want is for it to snap and do damage. I love my STI too much for it to be off the road! Car will be doing very minimal K's this week. A shame I missed the catchup today. Look forward to next one.

Thankfully my mechanic will get the kit in and we'll have it sorted by the end of the week (just in time before heading to Sydney) :-)

Yeah shame you couldn't make it Dubya! was the most fun I've had in the lib since owning her!

Good to see some other car enthusiasts out too :) we spotted a group, porsche, golf R, twin turbo BMW (can't remember the name), and a lambo (the special edition one with the gold strip against the white one.)

Can't wait to do another run, will need to get some more peeps out next time! (or maybe just tag along to rexnet cruises!) Yeah I haven't copied the photo's over yet, I'll do it sometime this week!

Got this off rexnet:

Hi there and welcome...I'm new too, but thought I'd say hello as there aren't TOO many Canberrans about ;)
If you want to come for a cruise real soon, there is a small number of local Subaru enthusiasts heading out into the 'twisties' this Sat 09/02. We are meeting at Bunnings Belco carpark around 9:00am to set off around 9:30am...we are then heading to Bunnings tuggers at 10am to meet some southsiders, then heading off to Orroral Valley and back via Tharwa/Tidbinbilla/Cotter/Uriarra Village to Brodburger in Kingston for a late lunch. Feel free to join us...same for any other ACT members that may be reading this...the more the merrier. No haters...
Pete.
