I've done it heaps of times in the MG, but I'm still a bit nervous about my first "flat out" run in the Liberty. I know I can drive flat out to the first right hander in the MG, and keep my foot to the floor going around the corner. I'll probably land in the dam if I try that in the Liberty (coz I'll arrive at the corner a hell of a lot quicker!)

FYI, I was trying out fitting a video camera on the back shelf when I did that 29.90 run. :)

You can hear my left rear tyre spinning as I come over the top of the wall. I don't think I'm going to beat that time until I get a limited slip diff to stop that.

You can turn straight down the return track after the finish!

I nearly use ALL the concrete area to stop. And in my Dad's STi you sometimes go through the gate at the end of the concrete!

I forgot about my best performance.
That video is from 2003, when I did 29.90
I forgot I did a 29.11 in 2005. All four runs that day were under 30. Under "MGA" in http://www.mgcc.com.au/competition/2005 ... f2005.html and http://www.mgcc.com.au/competition/reco ... ml#Rob_Roy
I haven't cracked 30 since, although I did exactly 30.00 in 2006.
I didn't get to run last year, as I'd destroyed my gearbox at Sandown a few weeks earlier.

sounds like you guys like your hill climbs? just wondreing if any of you have ever been to the hill climb in mt gambier, at the valley lakes? (my old home town!) they call it "legend of the lakes", its only a few years old (maybe 5, i dunno), its a pretty big event, they have quite a few very serious cars there! last time i was there they had a V8 super car! and a 4WD datsun 260Z with a V8! click here to see it in action http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1MJtGI22qGk if i remember correctly he may have even won it! its quite a good and well organised event with no shortage of competitors! well worth a look, just google "mt gambier hill climb" and you can get some info on it, and even some you tube videos will appear! ya know, now that i think of it, some of you guys should enter! would be awesome to see a heap of libs in there! id enter but the wife wouldnt let me(i wont even bother asking, she would only say id kill myself, or the car!) anyway guys ill leave ya with that thought!
