[Official] Number Plates

Postby WhiteGTB » Wed Mar 18, 2009 8:24 am

I know some people think they are a major wank factor but this morning I saw some pretty cool plates.

I've heard of these plates before and always wondered what car they belonged too... anyways, on the M4 this morning I noticed a beefed up GTR R32 with IDO11S. Looked the bomb too!

Heaps of us got plates :)

You seen any good ones floating around?

i think personalised plates really add a bit of character to the car, im currently looking for a nice combo for myself.

my last name is byers, and people call me that- but the closest thing i can get is 81ERZ which i dont know if i want to do.

my all time favourite plates i would love would be 54INT as in saint, but there takin, my other option i could get up here is 541NTT which i am considering.

theres a wrx in my street with the plates SHI117, and an old cadillac with the plates RUW37- i see some clever combos out there but some are just stupid.

also available up here if anyone wants them from ppq is 500BGT which i thought about getting but refrained as i want plates i can carry onto other cars.. not that id ever own anything other than a gt lib ;)

I agree mason. They do add character. Some can be quite funny while the irony that the owner was trying to put across sometimes is not recognised or recognisable to those outside their circle of friends. I have toyed with the idea of custom plates but can't really justify the annual cost that the RTA is asking. I even looked yesterday at the cost of custom plates in Qld (parents still live up that way so I could easily get a couple of bills addressed up there :D ) but at nearly $2300 for the "prestige" plates there is no way. At least it is only a one off charge...

Some plates I have toyed with:
AC06AS
TS03RB
STK-HNS

In the end I cheaped out

hahaha like mine BRI - 888 but I got these back in 1999 on my first car so we only had to pay the one-off fee, I think only $120 back then!

Oi! Personalised plates are the bomb :D As long as they aren't something like "SR-52-NV" :P

Obviously my plate is WASABI... My original one was SWINGN... As a few have pointed out, they do add a bit of character to the car, & it is nice when people remember seeing you or your car... But hopefully it's for the right reason :D

Seen a few good ones at KK's lately, including that R32 GTR you saw this morning Trieu :D

But try some of these on for size:

5EXTOY (Sex Toy)
S1UT88 (Slut 88)
DONTH8 (Don't Hate)
YBOTHR (Why Bother)
DVL-12H (Devilish)
VTECN (I don't need to explain :P )
