Hey SA, Long time lurker!

I have spotted a black 05 GT running some 9inch wide rota rims through the inner and fringe of city areas and have to say love passing it on the road. Stop and chat one day.

steel grey Liberty wagon with STI.025 plates (pink on white background) on North East Road this morning.

Mum driving with kids in the back didn't look particular enthused to see another STi wagon next to her.

No nod, no wave, no acknowledgement despite numerous opportunities to say g'day. No love between Liberty owners here in SA?

Looked like a Gen4 facelift from the headlights. Tuned by STi badge on the back, but I'm not entirely sure that it was dealer delivered STi - no front lip, standard grill, chrome rims (HPI brand?) and twin cannon exhaust. Couldn't see if there were Brembos behind the chrome rims.

I thought that if it was a Tuned by STi model it would have the black honeycomb grill, STi lip and black Brembo brakes. While I can understand why you might replace the quad exhaust with bigger cannons, I'm not sure why you'd get rid of the lip or STi/Enkei rims...

that was my wife seriously she wouldnt have seen you even if you ran into her the car is an 06 built my07 before tb sti was available and its a full fujitsibo exhaust system with custom dump pipe now its just the shopping trolley but still has 180kw atw

If you see a black 04 3.0R-B, pretty stock but lowered and tinted, with WA plates, gimme a wave. Just got the car last week.

There seem to be HEAPS of Libertys around where I live at Norwood - there's a grey/silver one in my street (a pre facelift Gen IV) and another around the corner.

I've seen 'DaCrpldOne' from here a couple of times too - we chatted briefly at the traffic lights one day.

Seems us liberty owners are a friendly bunch..

ha, I did slow right down a couple of times to say hello, but I don't think that she noticed at all with your kids in the back

I was a bit confused about the configuration but 06/07 pre tbsti build now makes sense.

the exhaust did sound nice when she did take off from the lights (albeit slowly for a 180awkw shopping trolley )

Enough time to spend up after xmas and not so busy.

Where does most of the member's live, there are a large number of new people now? I know 2 other are down the bay but would be good to push through the hills, the basket range is a nice drive.

Late january could suit.
Keep the meet central, head for the hills, finish central. That way it should suit most members. I'd suggest meeting at Burnside Library, head up to the hills, then finish at say Big W cumberland park (5 min south of CBD)

Think i saw that bad boy around Norwood area about 4-4.30 Saturday afternoon..Were you out and about then?...

You're right though, copious amounts of silver and grey lib's around the 05-07 models in that area. I thought about making some posts about whether some guys from here were out that way on Saturday, but there was just too many to count!


Seems Norwood area might be the ideal meeting point!

Spotted 'GTWAGON" (or something similar, only caught my attention in my side mirror) in Gawler about 4.30 this afternoon. Looking hamish's way, but thought i might put it out here anyway! Anybody seen it around the northern suburbs? Vvverry nice looking!
