205kw atw i would expect from a 09 wrx, with a vf52, which i know hyper flow feature on the site, but a full tbe is required for those numbers.

mmmm perrin is still bigger and cheaper with the crap dollar.

And you didn't get 205kw? I'd ask for my money back... :D

So other than the first post, has the 'Sales Manager' provided us with any more technical justification for his statements?

The asking price is on the high side of life, but if it's going to nett such returns, well, why not. I'll have to sit with the majority though and suggest that a stock turbo is going to be having real issues getting to that sort of number, even on the AVO dyno (eh, coyote ;) )

with Hyperflow being heavily invovecd with MRT i am going to assume the 205 kw is at the hubs.... not at the wheels..so the 205kw is more like 180kw@wheels .. whiich is still very very good

if he can garuntee at least 190-200 kw for the package price then im sure alot of people will be interested in buying including myself, 200 atw is what i would assume most power hungry peoples goals here are... for now

Well another way to look at it is that since they didn't mention an exhaust, perhaps they achieved it without any exhaust fitted whatsoever?

Perhaps people might soon learn that posting a dyno figure is useless also posting a baseline for a stock vehicle.

That 2009 GT probably made 204kw when stock.

204kW

Postby Hyperflow » Fri May 15, 2009 5:35 pm

Hi Guys, just spoke to Jim at Tunehouse he clarified that the car was
defiantly an 09 WRX, not a Liberty.

My apologies I was so excited about the numbers that I miss understood the model and thought it was the 09 Liberty GT as the supplied TMIC is the same for both cars and we thought that was what was being tuned. I spoke to Subaru and they assured us that the 2 cars engines are the same, just the tune is different.

As far as we know the WRX and the Liberty have the same turbos up to MY08. If the 09 Liberty has the same turbo as the 09 WRX and we know the engines are the same then we would expect the same results. We are currently checking the turbo details and will let you guys know ASAP but here is what we know so far.

Vechicle and Tune Details

The car was at Tunehouse on a hub dyno in their wind tunnel.
The base line prior to any tune or modification was 165kW with an exhaust.
After installing our Hyperflow TMIC and Hyperflow cold air intake then doing an ecutek tune the car made 204kW.

Please review the graphs below. Jim from Tunehouse is more that happy to talk to you guys.
