Look at that photo I quoted and honestly tell me if you think that looks good.
I'm just being honest, I can't tell if that is supposed to be a before or after. It would take 1 minute to make those rims look like that, bit of water and soap and a once over with a microfibre mitt and you're done. Why is he posting a picture of it?

I am asking if that's supposed to be a before or an after pic, because you can see dirt inside the lock nut areas, brake calipers, inside of the rims, tyres have not been washed properly or even coated. Doesn't help you have the rust effect from washing the car on the rotors but obviously that would come off once you drive it...but still.
A bit of honesty doesn't hurt around here sometimes.

Also Clarence never tells a lie

What is metal compound? Is that just like a polish or something? So many different terms flying around for detailing stuff, hard to keep up.

Not meaning to offend but surely you can see where I was coming from with that pic you posted?

Ah yeah cool.
Hamish recommended me Autosol, I think I actually have some of that sitting in my detailing box but I have never bothered to use it.
Is that something you use or something else?

The rust doesn't look the greatest no, but you know it is an after shot not before :).

I think maybe the only feedback I'd have for taking pics, is be careful of to much angle in shots. It's all about getting the right angle and framing things. If the angles are to severe it makes you focus on trying to look at the shot, rather than looking at what is in the shot :).

For me the best picture is the rear of the Odyssey, the chrome how it caputures the grean of the plants behind makes it look fantastic and adds some great colour to the shot.

I do now....but I didn't.
Like I said, it looks like it has been washed at a car wash basically. Nothing about that picture screams "detailed", it just says face of rim mildly washed.
I was wondering why he posted it with the other pictures as it looked out of place.

Cheers Rob. Yea I have only been doing the whole photo thing a few months. Still working on all my angles ect.

Paint was a stage 2, wheels and interior where only stage 1 :).
