What mods to get..

I have a MY07 3.0R semi-auto.. the most i've ever modded before was on my old BMW, and that was just a drop and angel eyes.
I am wondering what can i do to my car? i like the hoods with the long scoop in the centre but i want it for function as well as show, and the guy at the dealership i got my car from said there's a limiter underneath which i can get rid of, but i have no idea how, i want it to sound a bit more nasally.. always wanted to have a bit of a rally car sound to it.

hks filter, sway bars and strut brace would be a start and spring if you want the lowered look and better handeling

Would make sure you put some goods springs to compliment what Shano has suggested.
Some new mufflers or a cat back exhaust is also a good idea to give your car a nice note... Then I'd suggest getting a re-tune which will give you a little bit more poke & possibily better ecconomy as well (Not sure about the 3.0L motors). More then anything, a retune will give you better drivability from the feed back I've seen from other 3.0L drivers

Ok cool thanks guys, the filter sounds like the easiest thing to get so i'll start off with that and get some quotes on the struts and sway bars, i have thought about lowering it, but that will be a bit later on i think, and new exhaust sounds good, but may be getting a bit on the expensive side, but i'll still check that out.

I'm guessing he is talking about the Resonator bottle connected to the air filter box.
Here is a guide to taking it out. Guide also includes a panel filter change, which if you are interested you can get the HKS one from phat GT for $65 delivered and it's washable and doesn't require oiling.
I'm not sure how much of a noise difference that will make on an NA, was certainly a big difference on my GT...but I'm sure a lot of the NA guys have done it so hopefully one will post here with their thoughts.
viewtopic.php?f=12&t=3908MY07 resonator bottle looks different to the one in that guide. it's the same white opaque plastic as the washer fluid bottle and it's also bigger....but the guide is basically the same anyway.

Thanks for that it was really helpful and was really easy and quick to do, my only query is what to do about the hole where i took the resonator off.. is it ok for that hole to remain there now the resonator isn't there any more?

If you keep the hole you will get hot air from the engine being sucked in there.
Tape over the hole with some strong duct tape on both sides, that's what I did.

Just something I read on NASIOC, but apparently removing that resonator can have a negative affect on the AFM. Something about the resonance. Not sure if it applied to NA's or turbos or both. But when I dig up the thread I'll link it.
But the gist of the research suggested that sticking with the stock intake (with an aftermarket filter) was good enough unless on high powered cars, where turbos have been changed etc etc. The person had pretty substantial evidence to back what he was saying but then again he was the one doing the testing.
I'll post it up when I find it.

Might as well post the Oil analysis thread where someone found that the HKS Panel filter increases the silica count in the oil.
But in the end I don't really care , I don't plan on keeping the car forever and I'll look after it and change the fluids regularly so it won't be a problem.

I covered up the hole but now it doesn't have that cool roaring sound anymore

Search oil analysis, like I said I run the hks panel filter too.
Or just ask TeK about it, he's the one who told me

I've decided to get new muffles/exhaust, what would be a good one to give my car a nice purr like a rally car?

Remove mufflers completely and have a straight pipe all the way through for rally purr.
Although i don't know of many H6 rally cars

The main thing to do is a catback exhaust. looking at anywhere from $270 to 600. depends on what grade of metal and how well u shop around...
and another thing is extractors, they can be postponed till after the cat back to improve the sound and responsiveness gained from the cat back. they're a little bit more expensive, not too much tho. lookin from ~450-700 i think?
..or the simple way out is a muffler... thats all i have now. looking to upgrade to catback+extractors soon. but what i have now has set of a cuple of car alarms haha. without even being too loud

..it's a Walker (brand name)
