So what does everyone think of fitting white wheels on white cars?

i have narrowed my search down to the following, yes they are still 17's, but so light and look nice

Looks good on the type R civics so I can't see why it wouldn't on a Subaru

Nothing wrong with white on white in my book as long as the wheels are tasteful. :D

the reason i like the above is, they are not all white. they have a machined lip.

Yeah, white on white looks good IMO. Does require you to be more vigilant in cleaning brake dust off though :?

+1 I like white on white, but like I once heard "it's like trying to keep prized china clean when you eat with it every day (near impossible)"

I agree with the above. Good rims in white look great for the 1st minute after you've cleaned them. Just too hard in the end.

Have to match your whites. Our white is metallic and the white wheel will probably be a solid white.

Go Charcoal or have the wheels paint matched to your car or just go charcoal.

Has anyone suggested charcoal?

nothing wrong with 17's IMO. It is an option I am looking at for the end of the year/start of next year when these tyres go. Will depend on insurance and how much cheaper 225/50R17 tyres are than 215/45R18.
