Hey guys

just wondering if anyones possibly replaced the TIPS of the exhausts before??

Story is.. i bought the car and when i was washing it for the first time going over it i noticed the bottoms of the exhaust have been repeated scratched so theyre basically worn to an edge on the underside.

I considered doing the whole exhaust but the price is a big turn off as i only plan on having the car untill im off my p's and can afford a turbo.

So my question is.. i know the exhausts are only bolt on.. but whats involved in taking them off and buying replacements is it as simple as unscrewing them and chcuking new ones on?

Does anyone know the size i would have to buy to fit new ones?

What car you got?

You could probably adapt just about any tip you wanted if you had a good exhaust joint.

Standard exhaust always seem to get on the Libs... Especially if they are lowered

Replacing the tips shouldn't be an issue. Just make sure you go to a good exhaust place

Maybe you should keep an eye on the for sale section... Standard STI quad muffs have been sold at really good prices in the past

maybe you can get phat's quad tip mufflers which are awsome looking.

pending on what car you have champ... the exhaust tips are just bolted on. i think there a 10 or 12mm bolt top and bottom and they come off. could replace.. or go to an exhaust shop and get some different ones put on?

The place where i got my exhaust done (We know the owner) Can order you any type of tip you want, My mate who owns a VK is getting 'bellflower' style tips

LOL! But yeah, just unbolt or even cut off the stock tips, and you could buy tips from places like Supercheap that slide over the pipe and simply use a screw to fasten the tip in place. Otherwise I would recommend taking it to an exhaust shop and getting some nice chrome tips welded on. Were after another set of single tips or dual tips? Because an exhaust shop would be able to change you to quad tips.

ive had a looksy in stupercheap and ripco and both of their range in tips were fairly limited and not keen on putting money down without seeing what they look like upfront and whether they'd fit, so im now hunting around exhaust shops quad tips has crossed my mind.
