Hi all. I had a pair of h7 globes I purchased 6months ago and found out yesterday that 1 has blown. So im not going to be buying them again.

So my question is, Narva Intense or Phillips diamond?
I need something bright as I live out in "the sticks" haha.

Id go HIDs but I honestly cant be bothered with them.

Maybe reconsider the HID options, especially if you live out in the sticks. Why cant you be bothered?

From my experience the high performance H7 globes don't last very long. My phililps cristal vision on the 4wd averaged about 6 - 12 months with minimal night driving.

HID's generally last a lot longer, perform better than halogen globes at night, and may be the cheaper option in the long run. The downside to HID's are the initial cost, and legality issues with installing them.

If you go the HID option i would recommend globes with a temp bewetween 4300k and 6000k. the 6500k ones may look pretty and blue but i find they don't penetrate the darkness as well and create unnecessary reflection glare from signs and reflectors.

failing that, maybe you could switch to candles?

With 2 kids under 4, xmas and a bday to organise, I just dont have time. next year when 1 is at kinder fulltime I'll be looking into HIDs but for the time being im just after normal globes (pet hate is driving with 1 headlight out)

But if anyone has some good links for decent HIDs, im more than willing to look

I also asked my neighbour about lights as he is a lighting guru (and talks lumens n stuff I have zero knowledge about haha) and talked me into getting some low beam hids (can also fit them for me) but keeping with halogen fogs and led parkers
