Hey all,

Got my MY06 2.0 Liberty in New port Blue, and I have unfortunately been bitten by the mod bug

So far I have done nothing, it is all stock, however here is what I have planned so far:

Interior
  • LED Map, Dome, Courtesy Lights - Done (PS: viewtopic.php?f=68&t=20008)
  • LED footwell lighting (DIY) - Done, looks nice!
  • Aluminium Sill Plates (Either Blank, Subaru or Liberty)
  • JDM Coin Holder
  • JDM Clear Courtesy Light Panels - Done, must have for LED changeout, I have 2 sets for sale, PM me! Gone, I can order more if you need.
  • USDM Side Cargo Nets - Done, they come in handy!
  • Rubber Boot liner
  • Carpeted floor mats
  • Window Tints
  • New aircon filter - Done!, I have some for sale, hit me up for info ;)

Exterior
  • LED Break, Reverse and Plate Lights - Done, Bright reverse lights, plates might need tweaking though.
  • LED Indicators (Eventually)
  • LED Parkers - Done, but going to Xenon, the LED's keep blowing!
  • LED Foggies
  • Xenon Headlights - Done, installed a HID kit, couldn't have been happier with the results.
  • New Wheels, have my eyes on the Rota Gravels
  • Reverse Camera
  • Black Mesh Grill (or I might plastidip my current grill to black) - Done, Plastidipped, eyes open for a mesh grill though
  • Club Lib stickers (of course) - Done, of course!
  • Smoke the tail lights
  • Eyelids (perhaps)
  • Front Lip Spoiler

Audio
  • 2 Din Fascia and Dual zone aircon controller - Its here, need a headunit now :)
  • 2 DIN Unit with Satnav, Bluetooth, DVD, something like this..
  • Swap out the speakers
  • Amp + Sub, either under the seat or in box in the boot

Engine, Performance, etc
  • New break pads
  • New Tires (need!)
  • New foot pedals (STi or other aluminium ones)
  • Coilovers
  • HKS panel filter
  • New Exhaust System eventually
  • KiDo Tune (Any benifit on my engine?)

Someone please call an ambulance, this modbug infection is bad!

I am looking for any advice or suggestions you have to offer, I based the list above on what I have seen on other Lib's, I could be missing out on a lot of awesome stuff :)

Very similar mod list to mine, the bug bites and here it bites hard.

Two things:
Screw the Rota Gravels and buy my XXR's XD
Seriously though, don't rule out other wheels. I love Gravels as well by they are common.
And second, have you considered frosting your tail lights instead of smoking?

As for the wheels, I am looking for the Enkei look, I will check out the rim thread closer to buying some though :D

As for the tail lights, I probably didnt mean smoked, I meant something with this result: http://img.tapatalk.com/a6898ee2-687e-17b0.jpg but maybe not as dark.

Unfortunately with our stud pattern and offset, Enkei's that fit are rare, but Absolutions Gen3 looks awesome on them. There are a few options for Libs.

That's tail light tinting there. Three ways you can do it:
In the FS section, Gloryboy is selling some JDM ones. Good for bragging rights.
Nightshades for a short term option
Tail light tint off eBay - cheaper than new lights as more durable than Nightshades

I had some el'cheapo tint off ebay but it was too dark, if I can find some JDM ones I will get them however I can't seem to find them anywhere, Gloryboy sold his already.

I have a can of nightshades but would perfer to either tint with a film, or change out the lights.

Thanks for the info!

Oh my bad, I didn't know he sold it. I think 50% tint is the most popular from what I've heard.
If you use a spray, I hear the PlastiDip smoke is better than Nightshades, but Nightshades is good to test the look and how dark you want it. You can always remove it with petrol.

Hurry and get the mods going, I want to see some progress

Pretty keen, need to work my ass of though haha.

I love this whole plastidip idea, it looks like such a cool product.

I might do my grill in black until I get a meshy

Got tempted, just ordered a can, $40 express post :/

$9 in the US I think, perhaps we should do a group buy and order a heap

I think there is a place online to buy it that is based in Vic?
Ill see if I can find the link tomorrow and post it.
Problem with group buys is the postage is still rather expensive due to it being a spray can :(

Huh?

Factory Subaru rims are made by Enkei and all aftermarket Enkei's can be bought in Subaru fitment.

Awkward. My bad, I read Enkei but was thinking BBS.

Face palm.
