What are the benifits on removing the resonator ? Just read Smythies walkthrough on removing it, seems pretty straight forward.

I did mine. I really like the noise advantage, some don't. I get shit for doing it to a 2.5i but it's my car god dammit XD

I didn't notice any change in power, so just the noise pretty much haha.

A bit louder, I definitely heard the boxer note more, and you get an induction noise, almost like you can hear it sucking air.

Doesn't the engine become a bit more thirsty due to it sucking warm air?

If anything, my fuel economy was better.
More air flow is always better for a motor, and most of the time makes it more fuel efficient.

Might take mine back off and do a few tests.

Originally I took it off while I was waiting for my new headlights to arrvive, definitely enjoyed the louder sounds of the boxer.

I put a 1/4 inch gap between my stock y pipe and mufflers too, has a nice note and it was free, will do till I get a new system :D
