Finally, decided to go ahead with Cosworth.

I can't help thinking that HKS Hybrid looks like a big kitchen sponge/scrubber.

Thanks to all.

Cheers

Haha, I've got that kitchen scrubber and love the whoosh sound the engine produce from the additional air it receives.

You can't just make baseless claims on kw gain from something like a panel filter

Interesting.

Interesting in the fact that you edited out your kW claim which I already have quoted.
Here it is again.

So I will quote this from the article you linked.

http://www.roadtrackrally.com.au/2011/09/cosworth-air-filters-do-they-work/ wrote:But if you look at the Dyno graphs below you will see that the improvements in Power are mainly in the higher RPM so ‘feeling’ any noticeable difference would be difficult.

Yes these are higher flow panel filters, that's why people get them. However they provide very marginal increases in power that are so marginal that nobody can actually notice any difference other than SOUND difference. So I called you out on your KW claim because it sounded like you were talking out your rear end. Turns out you were talking from the other end, and just regurgitating what you read on another website. I still stand by my point that you cannot FEEL the difference in power between an aftermarket panel filter and stock, and your article you linked confirms that anyway.

Placebo effect mate. Thats all it is. Yes the filter is better compared to a stock paper filter. Yes it is reusable. Yes it is a 'mod' you have performed so naturally you expect it to make a difference in the way the car drives. Your just tricking yourself into thinking that since you changed something the car drives better/quicker.

If you truly want to back up your 8-10kW gain, then put the stock back in, run a dyno and immediately put this filter in and run the same dyno. I think you will find fk all difference if any difference between the two.
