Quick shop to test.

Like this version better, but also agree with the original intent, that they are to enhance daytime visibility, especially if you have a car colour other than white.

They are some of the better ones I have seen, but I think the liberty front end doesn't need them. Front lip, grille of choice, hid's, lowered a little for stance factor. Your done.

Still each to their own. If DRL's are what you want then it's a nice mod.

I'm with this version^^
and the original intent, given my car is Urban Grey and can't be seen.

But Subies do already have DRL's, the factory Fog-lights
just leave them on. and all the lights turn off with the keys.

They also earn you a fine, in Qld at least.

Foglights are to be used in adverse weather conditions only. Maybe have a look at what US or Canadian guys do I think they need DRLs. I know what some car manufacturers do is wire up the high beams to be on, but at reduced power.

Yeah the US spec Legacy's definitely have this. Have seen threads on Legacygt.com about removing the DRL module. It is the highbeams come on at 40% (?) power from what I've read.. The issue some of the guys come across is the fact that when the DRL mode is enabled, your tail light parkers aren't on. Some people wouldn't tell the difference easily between DRL's and low beams (being able to see ahead of you) and having no parkers on your tails is no fun at night!

Does anyone here drive around with their fog lights on? I'd be interested in knowing if anyone has actually been fined for it. Ours are quite small compared to the big fog lights on WRXs, EVOs, Falcons etc....

In the US I don't think they have the parker lights that we have. Essentially we could just consider those DRLs? Mine are on all the time so they turn on and off with the car anyway ;)

They don't have parkers on the front the same as us, their parkers what our indicators are from memory.. Parkers generally don't have the intensity of other DRLS to function well to be honest..

I know Brian (Brainy) drives with his foglights on 24/7 and he says he hasn't been pulled up for it, which is surprising considering he has 6000k HID's in there.

Yeah good point, headlights are more than bright enough if you're worried about visibility though :)

Haha good on him! I drive around with mine on most the time, but if I'm on a main road where there's likely to be a RBT or something I switch them off, just in case :P
