With a lot of work and effort you could. I've seen some of the Japanese LED magazines at Phat's house and they can change just about anything.

Good luck! I have thought about it once or twice, but the effort wasn't worth it for me. The dials are colourful and bright enough it wasn't necessary. Plus, in my past experience I've had ripping out that area, it tends to creak afterwards so I don't like touching the dash area.

Not sure if having blue led shining in your face while driving is the smartest idea, think its red to not interfere with night vision. Would still like to see pics if u do it tho

I would have to agree. The reason a lot of those "miner" type headlamps have a red light in them as well as the normal LED's is for reading maps at night.

When I remade the trim on the tailgate of my Sherpa I put an LED strip at the bottom hooked up to the taillight circuit. I am now regretting it because I can't see anything out of the rear windows when I am reversing. he 5% tints on the back three windows doesn't help either haha.

Mods: (GT) HKS Panel Filter. The HKS I put in the MY10 is the same filter I took out of my MY05 GT. So yes, they do fit. Custom leather heel pad to minimise carpet wear in the drivers footwell. Slotted front rotors. (Sherpa) 14'' 6 Spoke mags, Chrome Gear Shift (sick!), Alloy Pedals (sicker!), new positive and negative battery terminals, Alpine cda-9827 H/U, JBL GT 6x9's boxed and mounted (sickest!), Kicker DS650.2 component speakers mounted in the footwells in flibreglass pods, Alpine MRP-F200 4 channel amp (4x40wRMS), Rebadged with hektik chrome eBay badges, STi stickers for more powaaaa, "leather" handbrake boot, recarpetted with grey/black car carpet from Bunnings, sick Clarke Rubber boot mat, polished and waxed.

He was actually being serious by the way, I do lots of lighting mods.
But I have always liked the illumination with the dash, so I have no plans to change it.

Best of luck with it though, should come out great.

Also ask Leo about the key barrel LED, he said he was looking in to changing those?

i would really like to see if anyone has done it...
the creaking sounds a bit daunting, maybe its a waste of time
i guess its fair to say there is not manual on how to do it?

If you can find someone who specialises in that sort of stuff it should be fairly easy to get done, just need someone who is competent in opening up the dash without completely fucking something up.
PHAT might be able to do it?

Would love to see how it goes.

I mentioned the barrel light to Leo in his internal LED thread.. No response as of yet. Also got him working on angel eyes too - next mod :)
