Bling up my STI

Here's where you can ask for suggestions what MODs you should consider. Let the experts tell you what you should add.

All sorted now thanks to the guys at STechnic, I really cant recommend these guys enough, very helpful! I ended up just putting a dip in my DP as there was only about 3mm clearance and due to tune was banging against steering knuckle on hard turn while accelerating.

Phat did say that about the engine mounts but I didnt feel like spending another $300 plus installation. I dont see how the engine mounts could be that weak anyways on an essentially new car that has only done just under 40,000km and is in very good condition.

Anyways I can now drive my subie the way they should be driven :D

On another note, I was quite disappointed in the quality of the bolts on the adjustable tips of my K2 exhaust. I kid you not all 4 of them snapped on me whilst trying to adjust them. I sorted this with a quick trip to bunnings tho. They are now staggered like my original STi tips.

Photos/video to come.

Nice work Adam

Are you still running the standard turbo??

BTW those K2 tips are a bitch to keep blue.......... If you have any pointer on cleaning them let me know.

Engine mounts make a lot of difference, I recently had mine changed to STi mounts, there is hardly any movement of the engine due to the firm rubber used in the mount itself.

Looks sexy :D When I get back home from holidays I have to make mine staggered too as they don't look as cool being all the same length.

I imagine if you degrease/wash them once a week with any decent car wash they should keep their blue colour!

Bling up my STI

They're blue due to both the valency and thickness of the titanate coating. This will inevitably eventually change to white as titanium dioxide due to it being the equilibrium structure.
There's no avoiding it, you can merely slow it down by not letting them get too hot and ensure they remain clean to avoid the oxidising crevices under any dirt/grime
