Zorst Pump and Tune

Here's where you can ask for suggestions what MODs you should consider. Let the experts tell you what you should add.

Regardless of the "look how big mine is numbers" - what's interesting me is the radically different curves.

PS - Pulse's dyno is know for very "happy" figures.

This is what I don't get though, if people know this why do they still use Pulse.

Paying a hooker to tell you you're the greatest lay she's ever had doesn't really hold much value.....
I'll report my post's and see if Ric will just transfer this all to another thread instead of messing up the OP's, I don't mean to discredit what he has done to his car, clearly he is very happy with it and that's all that matters.
But from the stuff PHAT has said on the phone to me, these sorts of numbers just are not possible.
How on earth do you get a 130kW ATW car to almost 190kW ATW with basically just a tune, and I'm not just talking about the OP's Pulse numbers here either.

For the record I managed 176 @ chiptorque with TBE, panel filter and tune. I then had the car run up against a stock evo and an STI (both nowadays around 220kw) which spat out the same.

I should remind you all that the reason why dynos were able to spit out power values in the first place is so the tuner can monitor change in output. The figures can be manipulated vastly by changing variables other than the car. The air temp for instance is one of those easy triggers that can make a stock carolla spit out 300Kw.

/sorry for off topic. The figure may be on the high side, but provided the owner is happy with how it drives and not just the figure then all is fine.

Well done, now that you've got that plug your mph figure into a moroso calculator with the cars weight and see what you get.

My estimate will be 155-165 effective kw atw.

Did you enjoy racing? There's a bit of improvement in your 60' which would get you into the mid 13s.

The dyno has a 'correction figure' determined by air temp, pressure, humidity. So that wouldnt falsify figures unless somehow manually over ridden. Different strapping techniques and tyre pressures will though. Pulse is famous for these tricks.

But just to confuse the point even more, sh4wry made 196wkw on the VF46 with an MSR tune. His dyno is far from happy and he is regarded as one of the best subaru tuners in the country, and is very trust worthy. So it can technically be done. Some cars are just freaks.

Well the original work was done on 20/10/2010 and the car has ran perfectly since. So my thought were better the devil you know, hence its going back to Pulse. I doubt they have the dyno records so it will be interesting to see the results this time round.

The car Now has 40,000 kms on it and it was done around 23,000kms and by 30,000 kms the clutch was shagged, but I persisted with it for another 7-8000kms. I dragged it 3 times and have never overly abused the clutch IMO it just could not hang on after it was tuned. Anyhow I hope their dyno is just as happy :D as before because I need happy...

You will LOVE the difference the vf52 makes! Dont worry about the dyno result as it will feel much faster than the dyno result says it is :D

Ive replied to this 3 times and something goes wrong with the site every time i hit submit..... :?

210wkw with your mods is a very happy dyno result... but who cares about that. The important thing to take from it is that you gained about 15wkw and i have no doubt you will be feeling like it is much much faster than 15kw more.... it will be a rocket to you regardless of dyno figures :D
