Steering wheel upgrade

Postby seaniho » Sun Jul 14, 2019 9:34 am

Hello all,

New to forum and 2005 Liberty GT owner. Just wondering if I can use a later model steering wheel (or similar year) with the button cruise control vs the stock stalk on the side that is currently in the GT. Like to clean up the look without any fuss if possible. I believe 2005 is preface. The car already has an aftermarket headunit so media control is not important at all.

Thanks in advanced

Its been done. Member hardware bob iirc.
You can certainly get swc control regardless or blanks if required...
Alibaba vendor Mewant has good deals on diy stitch on steering wheel covers.
Even postfl steering wheels can be hard to find in mint condition.
Otherwise damd make nice 365mm d and o wheels from eg prospeedracing etc...
The ultimate setup being postfl d wheel, black swc’s, black my11-14 STi hornpad.
I have that with a prova wheel and, in use, a GR STi steering wheel. :good:

Yes, I have done this - check my build thread, it's not that hard.
