Hello, wanted some info regarding VDC, i noticed when changing my dash LEDs that the cluster has VDC but not connected to light up. I am sure B4's dont have any VDC (happy to be corrected), i think gen3 outback has it (also happy to be corrected) Does it do a good job?
VDC was standard on the revised Heritage and Outback H6 models only.
Mine has it and so far I haven't been in a situation sticky enough to actually require it to save me. It likes to activate primarily when going over those sharp shopping centre car parks because it is a bit hypersensitive in that respect.
Its an active YAW control sending and cutting power to the appropriate wheels front to rear and side to side. If your pushing it to the point where its kicking in, your driving it at or beyond the limit or at least very close to it. It really is a safety feature and thats pretty much it. You hope never to actually need it.
Its also extremely useful to have on snow/ice:
But best to turn off in sand and mud.
