Leo's the guru. PM him for prices etc.
He's in the vendor section under hks180 LED's & HID's. You'll find more 'enlightenment' there.

Once you go HIDs, you won't got back! I've done my headlights and fogs now! Once upon a time... you could even get reverse HIDs! But I'm not that crazy! ahaha!
Below car has been gone for quite some time now... blew bottom end bearing and dealership screwed me! Now driving 2008 WRX with ~65k kms on the clock. Only has cat back exhaust and tune by KiDo at the moment! More to come... but slowly!

Purchased recently (12/11/2013), already with: Stage 2 Pedders lowered springs, rear Whiteline sway bar, Advan Racing TCII 18x8 wheels, k&N pod filter, custom 3" exhaust system from turbo back with Magnaflow mufflers. ECUTEK tune of some sort (hopefully soon to be fixed)..... now FIXED!! Now KiDo Tuned!
Added: HID kit, EZ lip equivalents to the front and sides, and various LED treatments, oem boot spoiler, [LGT WRC] plates, GFB Respons BOV for extra Pssscchhh! --> Gone... I couldn't afford it's heart transplant... but keep a look out, as it will come back on sale soon!

HID's are awesome, but terrible in reflector headlight housings - mainly for oncoming traffic...
Go for the 35W 5000k Ballests/Globes - wont attract to much attention from the plods.

HID's in Gen3's are fine providing you keep it down to the 35w globes as Anson suggested. Those lights housings are designed for HID's as that what they fit for the JDM market.

I opted for projectors on mine and never looked back.

Major hack and slash required. Along with tweaking to make sure they're properly lined up.
If you really want to do it. Have a look here: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/. The sell various different projectors and the shrouds to hide all the fixings etc.

The JDM B4's had factory self adjusting HID's I have all the loom everything in my recent RX to B4 conversion, even got the HID projector headlights, but unfortunately I've got two dead ballast's on them. I'm looking at replacing the ballast, does anyone have any suggestions?

Its all custom but there are kits you buy to do the job:

From memory, I used "G1 projectors" as they were the right size I was after. G2's are bigger, and G3's bigger still. And no I didn't carry out the work myself. Cannot trust myself doing that!
