Hi all my power steering light just came on this afternoon along with the loss of well.....power steering.

Does this mean that my pump is buggered or are there other things for me to check before going ahead and ordering the new pump?

Is there a fuse that is designated for the p/s? If so could somebody tell me where it is located?

Is it damaging my car to drive it in this condition? I might have to ride my yamaha to work tomorrow.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check your P/S fluid level first. It might be low

The power steering pressure sensor is detecting no pressure

Fluid seems to be fine. A bit high if anything.

Had a good look over everything then went to move the car indoors for further inspection and the light had gone off. Power steering has also returned.
