I'm driving a 2000 gt tt wagon and always thought it was a b4 but after having a good look under the bonnet I've discovered that it is badged as a b3.
Can anybody tell me anything about what this means?
Oh yeah the car was imported from New Zealand if that helps at all.

Mine is written as a B3 on my registration papers, but I assumed because mine is non-turbo that would be the reason.
Possibly just because it's the 3rd generation?

Have a look at your engine type on the compliance plate if you are worried it is not a real B4.
Should sy EJ206 or EJ208.
All Gen3's are B3.

B4 is basically just what japs use to say sedan in some cases. Notice the jap import 4th generation legacy sedans are badged B4 aswell.
