Timing Belt replacement 02 Model

Postby Jennyc » Thu Dec 13, 2012 8:54 am

My B4 had the timing belt replaced at 50000kms 5 years ago in 2007.
Local dealership is recommending replacement again based on time -although it now has only 80000kms on the clock.
Mate who is a Subaru dealer in Victoria says leave it until it's done 150000kms, doing it now is an absolute waste of money.
Any thoughts?

Do a service and get them to check if the belt has any wear on it. That mileage seems pretty low for timing belt change though.
