The knock sensor is a very common fault on Subarus.

If it's completely stuffed it won't have knock correction because it won't know how much knock it's meant to be reading.

Had a wideband in the car today, seems to point my problem towards overfueling, the car is running that rich im blowing 250kms to the tank ,
FPR is my next port of call , any other idea's

i know the MRT maps are fairly rich anyway but i dont think its ever seen this much

Sorry I have no advice to give, but my car is doing the same thing. Would appreciate a post when/if you find the issue. Mine is getting the same, if not worse fuel use. started suddenly too. was missing at one stage, but that came down to one of the plugs had died. new plugs and its till running very rich. soo much so my exhaust remains wet. when cold it seems better (somedays), but when she comes up to temperature, its like there is no primary turbo at all, and justs doesnt seem to pull as hard on the secondary (secondary acceleration resembles what primary should feel like).

I'm hoping my PDX KIWI WIFI rocks up today, so I can see whats going on. If I find anything I'll post it here...

Update ,

i have all my factory boost control working now after changing a few suspect solenoids in the Black box.

i have added a Sard Rj , parallel lines , had my injectors serviced , replaced intake manifold gaskets , new map ,maf ,tps , cam, crank sensors , new PCV valve , new walbro

and i still have this bloody hesitation between 2000-4000 rpm even would go as far to say it feels like a tiny miss, after speaking to MRT they assured it wouldn't be tune related but im starting to point at the tune , the a/f mixtures are still 9,10's which seems rich to me

as the car reaches 4,500 and the secondary turbo comes into play it is as smooth as silk , spools nicely and pulls like a train , my logs of the timing show that it jumps from 12 to around 22 when secondary comes in

any thoughts on getting mrt to add a little more timing into the bottom end of the tune , as im pretty much damn sure that i what i have checked and replaced should of fixed this bloody issue. other then replacing the ECUTEK :angry2:

I would start by finding someone other than MRT to deal with it.
