B4 Exaust Question - Wire coming from muffler??

Hey all,
(This is possibly a newby question)

Just got under the B4 this arvo, and saw that where the exhaust comes from the diff-back, it splits into 2 just before the rear muffler, and on 1 of the pipes going into the muffler, there's a cable contraption (similar type of mechanism to the throttle cable in the engine bay).
The cable goes up into the left hand side rear guard/boot region.

Anyone know what it does?

Cheers,

Brad

An electronically controlled rear muffler is used to keep the B4 quiet at low road speeds. The pipe that leads into the rear muffler is divided in two, with one pipe equipped with a flapper valve. The ECU - working with an actuator and cable - opens this valve when travelling at medium-to-high road speeds. This increases exhaust gas flow.

Copied from Autospeed as I cbf writing my own version!

Basically you should ditch it for at least a diff back exhaust as its fairly restrictive.

You post this again in the Exhaust section as well! :D
