the InterCooler Valve was replaced with a one way valve with better flow
the Exhaust Control Valve was gutted and ported and replaced with a more effecient design
upgraded hybrid turbos td04/vf32 td04/vf33 (cant remember exact details)
TBE, TMIC, CAI, ECUTEK

it is POSSIBLE but it does require some mods to the system

2.0 or 2.5 bottom end?

standard 2.0 bottom end running 17.5 psi

anymore word on this? I'm interested if the 2.5 bottom end has made a difference?

I've always liked the TT setup, and have owned several of them, but non-modified.

I'm contemplating going down this path with a TT conversion into a Gen2. More of an experiment than anything else, as the car will be my partner's step-mother's car.

Billsy over on RSLC will be your man to speak with regarding all kinds of TT mad-scientist setups

BUT
looking at your use for the car,
i would not subject anyone to driving a TT that ca't pull apart the BBoD on the side of the road and rebuild it

the Germans did an experiment once, it was called the Hindenburg and look at how that one ended up.

Don;t re-invent the wheel, it's already been done.
it's also been named Garrett.... and you only need one!

Thanks Robb... I'm not so concerned about the vehicle being stuck on the side of the road... the car is used to lope the kids around, but I'm using it for experimental purpose.. mind you, I will have two green Gen2s. The other one can used as a backup car...

I wouldn't be looking at modding it to the hilt... just want more power, and doing some experiments on the TT system. I've always wanted to work on the TT system

The TT system is shit. if you want an effective TT system rip it all off and put it in the bin. get 2 nice sized turbos, and strap one to each bank. custom tune, done.

Subarus 2 stage system is not only very ineffective and restrictive, but due to all the crap they loaded it with (actuators to control it all and vac lines and shit) it is also very hefty in weight compared to a more effective single turbo setup.

Understand... I'm not chasing after power... I would only do it as an experiment and for learning.

Would you like to do a 2 parallel turbo conversion for me? :D

P.S: I'm half serious... PM me if you're able to do something like that :)

and this is still sh!t. firing order or the EJ gives something stupid like 270degrees between exhaust pulses on each bank and makes spooling turbo's inefficient and tough.
H6 however.......

i'll try and find the info...

You can use the same style manifold as the current TT setup

Depending on when you wanna do the mod I could sell you my stock tt setup as I'm going single turbo.

one that's restrictive and forces two exhaust flows directly into each other at 180degrees...?

Subaru decided a TT EJ it was a sh!t idea and canned it.
They did it for a reason

Having actually owned, driven, modified and sorted out a TT to perform as well as it can... I understand why they went back to single.

If I were to make one they would wrap around a bit like the gen4s so it merges smoother instead of against each other.

I know TT is shit but Dave seems adamant in having a TT so I'm giving my opinion on the best TT setup. Which is single stage, not 2 stage.
