E85 conversion

For the older twin turbo B4 models

E85 conversion

Postby Pyr0m4n14c44 » Thu May 18, 2017 7:36 am

Is it possible?

What components would need to be changed?

EDIT: I can get it retuned when it's all done by Matt at Kido

Body mods - JDM Front flairs and centre piece, STi rear spoiler

To Be Fitted: Blitz Front Mount Intercooler Assembly. (Wasn't cheap!)

Sequential twins are fun, nothing like letting your guard down then getting a swift kick in the arse at high revs.

Fuel pump, something like a dw65c (do research on fitment).

Bigger injectors.

That is all.

E85 conversion

You could go flex fuel rather than pure E85. This means you can run any mix of fuel. Costs more to have this - around the $3000 for parts (fuel pump, injectors, module) and tune (with license).

Is the most expensive part the tuning??

I was hoping to do the same but not sure how the fuel lines would handle it.....

They are fine. The whole fuel line thing with e85 is a myth.

Maybe it would be a problem if you have a 30 year old car, but these days cars are designed to handle ethanol content in the fuel.
