Hey guys, quick question...

im looking at the parrot mki systems for my my04 liberty (not the mcintosh). Heard someone say that certain newer and older ipods have different volatges? is this true? what volatge is the ipad, and will music work, charge and be controlable through the parrot?

why do you want to use a massive ipad in the car for music?

i know that the old ipods (old nano and classic) are a different voltage then the new ipod touch and iphone but this isnt much of a problem you buy a small adapter which converts the voltage from old to new.

but as to the parrot. i am not 100% sure about them as i have never used one. i reckon your better off with buying a headunit facia and a new headunit with ipod/iphone/ipad compatabilty as im sure it would be easier to use

I've the small parrot in my car, no screen or anything. They don't play music because the iPhones use stereo Bluetooth which is not supported by all parrot models.

Mine works, bit is crap. I've jailbroken my phone and have an app which makes the Bluetooth mono.

If the parrot has A2DP, then music and controls will work over bluetooth. otherwise, afraid not. I bought a cheap Olin C6 (like $30) cos it had A2DP. Pity the recharge cable for it broke...
