Replacement amp options for MY07 GT B

Has anyone got any options and or instructions for amplifier replacement for the Mac stereo in a 07 GTB. Everything on here suggests probably not. Have read that there might be an amp upgrade kit from Subaru, any ideas ?? Thanks in advance, Adrian.

I have just replaced the whole Mc set up in my 08 gtb, and with no separate amp at all the sound is MUCH better - its fuller and richer than the Mc even with loudness off. I dont think the amp is the issue really here. My HU is nothing really special, its a few years old - JVC DV6105 - reads DVD MP3,can play videos, line in, aux in front jack, line out, video and sound out,sub woofer out, cooling fan etc.
Having said that, any amp that accepts line inputs should be able to be spliced in - you just need the pin outs for the Mc cable in. user here svxdc made me up a plug to interface to the speaker connector at the Mc amp, so he will have those pin outs.

JBL MS-8 seems the best solution to me and my car audio mates. I've got one coming from the USA.

I'd suggest that with over 20 years as a concert sound engineer I might have an idea about what I'm talking about as well. I've run PAs measured in the hundred of thousands of watts RMS.
