Active Subwoofer and Ipod connector(AUX IN)

Postby vp920b » Tue Mar 30, 2010 1:46 pm

Hi all,

Just wondering,

Does anyone put Active Subs on their Libs? Which product do you prefer? And can standard Liberty 2004 use AUX IN connector?

And someone know which audio store can Install nicely and neat? Budget around 150-200ish only. Just need a more bass and not really for extreme bass or something. More into SQ.

Thanks

Hey Mate,

Watch out for the 8" trap...

I bought an 8" sub, planning to put it into the shelf, only to find out Subaru designed it for 7.5inch
designed for their stock ones they put in....

Also, I've been told it is illegal to manually increase the hole in the shelf as it will be pass "road worthy" due to some structural stability issues.

first of all, if you haven't already, you should upgrade your front stage and add some SD.

Then if you want to go down the sub route, either install a proper dedicated sub in the boot with a custom fibreglass enclosure, or if you wanted to install an 8'' sub onto the parcel shelf you could make a spacer to fit.

Mods: (GT) HKS Panel Filter. The HKS I put in the MY10 is the same filter I took out of my MY05 GT. So yes, they do fit. Custom leather heel pad to minimise carpet wear in the drivers footwell. Slotted front rotors. (Sherpa) 14'' 6 Spoke mags, Chrome Gear Shift (sick!), Alloy Pedals (sicker!), new positive and negative battery terminals, Alpine cda-9827 H/U, JBL GT 6x9's boxed and mounted (sickest!), Kicker DS650.2 component speakers mounted in the footwells in flibreglass pods, Alpine MRP-F200 4 channel amp (4x40wRMS), Rebadged with hektik chrome eBay badges, STi stickers for more powaaaa, "leather" handbrake boot, recarpetted with grey/black car carpet from Bunnings, sick Clarke Rubber boot mat, polished and waxed.

Thanks folks for the input.

But I want to put the active subs under my seat not in the back where standard subaru use.

Then AUX in for my car so I can use my iphone to play music rather than using CD .

Thanks

Still wondering,

Does standard 2004 Liberty 2.5L, can actually use an AUX IN for Ipod connection?

Can someone also give me suggestion for recommended audio store(around balwyn area-melb)?

My CD player sometimes stuck now.

Thanks
