Ok here's my issue: i have a 05 SpecB Legacy.

Unfortunately it didnt come with mcintosh system as its an import but does have a 6 staker no idea what model etc.

I have been doing research and found the best way is to rip out the headunit and start from there but hate the look of after market crap. so thats NOT an option.

My questions are... Does the headunit i presume its same as the 2.5L models with a 6 staker have amp outs or what ever? Im not audio fanatic but want my doors and speakers to sound half decent and not rattle and blur at level 6.

Will it be even benificial replacing speakers with Polk 6's and Focal splits and adding 4 way alpine amp?

sound deadning the doors will also be involved.

Cheers Hamish

No amp outputs on the stock HU. If you are adamant to keep the stock HU I would highly recommend fitting something like the JL Audio Cleansweep else you are wasting your time.

Ah k so it pretty much acts as an aftermarket head unit with sub and Ipod outputs yet displaying through your factory head unit?

Any idea what difference between the three is, and idea what they retail for?
