MY08 GPS question

Postby ryan89 » Sun Nov 15, 2009 1:08 pm

Hi,

I bought a MY08 liberty base model second hand and it has the factory GPS unit installed. Now my problem is it goes of course ive taken it to my local subaru dealer where they have restored it etc. but ill be driving along then all of a sudden it goes off the road and end up in the middle of nowhere now my question is could it be something to do with the signal from my car. the guy at subaru said buy a new disc i have v13 and he said buy the v15 but v13 is fine ATM for me especially if it cost $300 and still doesnt fix it! anyone have any idea?

Thanks

When you say "in the middle of nowhere", how far away from your true location would you say it has jumped?
Where are you when this happens? i.e. in ipen country, or with high buildings around you?

oh hey i had this problem mate, the guys are your subaru dealer are pretty crap then, because i had that same issue with yours, and bought it to my subaru dealer and they instantly replace the whole unit, because apparently there were alot of defect sat navs that came out in the my08 model.

hope that helps you should try bring it to another dealer
