Where's the love? I used grade A love in my install

Which love?
I plan on doing the install this weekend, if anyone's free to come round they can see how I will feed all the wires through. :P

Still yet to figure out how exactly to run power and RCAs, since I can't run them down opposite sides of the car easily enough...

The physical love, lol. Hmm... can't run them down opposite sides huh? That's not ideal... but then again, I just got mine fully installed professionally for $180 :P

RCA and speaker cables straight down centre of car then down the side of the rear footwell across under the floor to reach the pass. seat. Power cable straight through grommet on pass. side that the ECU harness goes through, down the pass. side of the car under the doorsills, then under the floor to reach the pass. seat.

Use the stock slits in the carpet which the airbag or McIntosh looms go to feed the cables out from under the carpet. Or cut your own slits if they are in the wrong position.

Luckily you are mounting the amp on the seat so you can orientate it whichever way you need to to suit the cables. Unless you are fussed about which way the logo sits, which I anticipate that you will be lol

haha no the logo won't matter :)

WIring will be slightly easier as I intend on tapping into the stock Mcintosh speaker wiring, so I only really need a short snippet of speaker wire (so I bought some nice Stinger HPM twisted blue/silver stuff :D)

Also need to figure out where the best place to mount the grounding point would be. Probably somewhere under the seat :P

i'm guessing that allthe stock speakers will need to be amped by individual channels..

Seat bolt would be the best grounding point. Just make sure you sand back some of the chassis to bare metal for max contact patch.

Correct, hence I got a 5 channel amp :) Stock speakers, whilst not fantastic, aren't bad.

I was thinking that too. I bought one of these though. Would rather use this than to add extra stress to the seat
bolts.

What stress? lol. You aren't bolting an anvil to the seat bolt!

If anything that terminal you bought would add stress when you have to drill into your floorpan to bolt it in. All you need is a ring terminal for your ground cable then just bolt that under the seat rail.

Yeah I need to find me a ring terminal... that'll fit the big mofo bolt :P

You got a spare Jim? Bring it round on Saturday for me!

There you go, pre crimped so you know it's secure. Just cut one end off and screw it into the amp. Autobarn, Repco, Supercheap stock these.

Don't think that hole is big enough for the seat bolts so you'll have to mount it elsewhere.
