OEM sat nav screen

I have done several searches now on this forum, and have seen the several posts with regard to aftermarket screens that fit with an after the market vent set up.

On Legacy GT, I have seen people change the OEM sat nav unit (under the seat) but leave the factory screen - an idea which I love.

Is it possible to get the factory screen, vent and even the MAP INFO Etc buttons that light up as well and how much would it cost? Then I would consider just buying a seperate nav/ dvd unit to put under the seat.

Is the factory screen quality really that much less than aftermarket?

BTW: the car I plan on doing it with is MY08 SpecB 3.0 With Macintosh.

Is it possible to have a different dvd unit in the glove box that can do more than just sat nav (eg. watch movie DVD's)and still hooks up to the original screen?

Do I just ring subaru to get a quote on the screen and vent set up?

The quote from subaru, im not sure they will sell the screen seperately to the whole SatNav package.. you can try and let us know how u go..

In my opinion i think you can use the standard screen and plug something else into it as there is a video input connection behind the screen..
i currently use mine too connect my ipod to it and works like a charm 8)

Can this be achieved using a JDM OEM sat nav screen (Kenwood FGZ201F2)?
