MY07 Lib GT-B Parcel Shelf removal

Postby cpitts » Mon Jan 26, 2009 2:34 pm

Guys,

Just deadening the car (all doors done) but want to deaden the rear shelf. Have all the seat out but went to pull out the parcel shelf and found I needed to pull the plastic off the C-Pillars (plastic next to the rear window).

Started to pull it out and saw some fabric looking stuff under there (I assume the curtain airbags). I thought it'd be BAD to end up with them blowing up in my face so I've pulled the pin on that at the moment.

What have others done to get the parcel shelf out of the sedan on an 07+ GT-B ??

Reaaly need to find out as I'll be deadening the shelf and fitting spacers for my 10" sub in there, so bolt work needed!!!

MY07 3.0R Auto
Reversing camera, "road kill" sound deadener in all doors and parcel shelf. Whiteline sway bars (front and rear).
Dyno Tune by Vin @ Docklands STi +10-12KW and much better response. Got a 3.0R? Do it now.

Removing the trim alone will not set your airbags off. I've removed the trims heaps of time as i had a rattle and thought it was coming from that region.

If your still a bit worried disconnect the battery terminals, remove/refit trims and then connect terminals to battery.
