hey guys, for those of you who have done your own sound deadening job in the past, i was just wondering what type/brand of solvent you used to prep the surface before stick the deadener on

K&H wax and grease remover is all you need and maybe wash with sugar soap or dishwashing liquid after that (to make sure there is no residue from the wax and grease remover).

Any old kitchen concentrate stuff diluted in hot water.

Your real goal is to remove the light dirt on the door, the waxy crap has never let go on my setup. The glue on the back of the deadener I've used is insanely sticky and wouldn't let go!
