Sat Nav map update for 2007 Liberty Spec. B

Postby uditha2008 » Thu Jun 10, 2021 5:12 pm

Hi All,
I'm new in the forum. I just bought the car a couple of months ago.
I have the original disk that came with the car and the cd case says its Whereis Version 13. Can has a McIntosh entertainment system.
What is the lates compatible version for this model?
Does any one of you know where I can get the latest compatible map disk/files for the car?

Thank you in advance.

If you have (probably) the low res type nav screen, you’ll need a C1 disc.

Here’s the search:

Use a dual layer DVD-R iirc burnt on 1x speed.
Keep your OG map DVD in the car, it’s required for reloading the software after car battery dis/reconnection.

BigBadBenny thank you for posting that forum link.

My maps were 2007 and didn't show the last 3 suburbs that had been built early 2010s around here including my own street. I needed the C2 disc which the link had both in it.

The 2016 maps show all of it, and seems to have given me a few more options and another menu ?

Now I wish the having to press the OK button every time I start the car on the screen would bloody go away !

That’s still a thing even with the 2x nav hacks enabled!

C2 disc? You must have the fairly rare higher res screen nav with the map DVD in the head unit?

I’m using my stock nav mainly for displaying Btssm, I have a thread outlining the how to’s :)

But the C2 type navs generally do not have av aux in, to run external video in, you’d need a jdm or svxdc tv adapter or a video switch etc on the reverse camera channel.

mines an '08 2.5i, according to navshop site that's the one I needed and it worked first go.

I have done the wiring looms that was posted on another thread to make all the AV in, the sub out, RCA input and few others already, I now have 3.5mm stereo input for my phone etc. I have bluetooth phone calls already built into the stock headunit, just sucks I can't get the music side to work. As I've mentioned before, I am a sponge to wiring talk and i soak up the info pretty well. I did all the harness mods as soon as I got the car.. Did a Jaycar run last week and I've got all the gear to do the cupholder mods next.

Pete.

You have av input?
Or reverse camera?

Thanks for the clarification, c2 must have indeed been the oem nav option for that year 2.5i.
I’m tempted to just get the screen and make it work lol ;)

Hi BigBADbenny,

Thank you for the help. I found a few disk images in the forum. Got the C1-v22 burnt on to a disk and it works well. I think it was released in 2017, but way better than v13. :D

Cheers.
