Subaru Liberty GT BR 2009

Hi Everyone, Sorry if this post has been answered elsewhere but I'm a newbie & this is my first post. I had a factory fitted Alarm installed a few years ago by Subaru Ringwood, a few days later after I picked it up I noticed the Navigation wasn't working it displays "Error; System unable to access the program. Please insert proper disc" I obviously called them, they did nothing but muck me around for 3 months and never fixed it, so have lived with it not working for four years. Now I am looking at selling my car I am wanting to get it fixed. I have the disc which was in there when I purchased it (S/H in 2012), it's a denso Whereis AUS 20 I also recently managed to get my hands on a Subaru Liberty 2003-2009 & Ive also tried a Tom Tom V22, neither works. Subaru Doncaster (last week) have said it may be a V25 that is needed but not 100% sure either. I don't want to pay $200 for something that may not work either. Has any one else had this issue or have a V25 that they wouldn't mind me trying please. Many thanks, Linda :D

Hi and welcome.

See here for heaps of download links of versions up to 25. For a gen5 (BR), you need the C2 versions.

You’ll also need a DVD burner ;)

Shame you’re selling!

Thanks so much for your helpful advice, I will try to get hold of a burner. Its actually the gen4 the last one built, limited edition 33/50. I'll give the gen5 a go though. It's been a great car, but too heavy on the juice for daily commuting to work (due to covid situation I won't be taking p/t for quite some time). Thanks again :D

No probs.

If it is a gen4, then it is not a BR btw :) BM/BR is gen5. BL/BP is gen4.

Oops its a GT spec B R Special Edition https://www.caradvice.com.au/26409/limi ... t-specb-r/
I am so confused I always thought it was a GEN4 :P I'll try the gen 5 V25 C2 as you have advised.

Yeah it is Gen4, I'm just referring to the generic model code for the generations, which is a part of your VIN.

The late model gen4 also has the C2 version sat nav, so yeah definitely worth a shot.
