Mcintosh upgrade requirements?

Wanting to upgrade head unit only maybe amp if I have too.
If I want to put in a double din Android auto alpine unit do i have to replace the climate control section aswel i keep reading conflicting info on the subject.
What would I need other than facia, head unit, adapter harness from head unit to car harness, possibly an amp,
