Radio PIN...

Hi all,
I am thinking about replacing the Kenwood GX-204KH in my 2007 Liberty as the Climate Control
rotary knobs are badly worn and look crap.
I have searched here but obtained no results for Radio PIN.
Basically many of the Ebay sellers of that radio specify that they don't supply
a Radio PIN for it. ( or any other radio )
Do I need a PIN ?
I have disconnected the battery a few times and the radio didn't complain and worked
fine afterwards.
It appears that the Climate Control module / knobs and switches is separate and just
unscrews from the rear of the radio fascia and should be easy to swap between radios.
