2018 8” Infotainment Problems

I have a 2018 3.6R Outback, and have problems with background noise in both radio and CarPlay modes, and poor AM reception. I have also had some issues with erratic operation of the tailgate, and with keyless locking/unlocking. My Subaru dealership says there is nothing that can do, pending a software update.
What has been the experience of other owners?
