How to connect gen4 steering wheel controls to headunit

Not sure about postf-facelift:
Update me and I’ll fix up
Buy:
3.5inch jack
Will need:
Wire strippers
Electrical tape
Soldering iron + solder or good wrapping skills
- from steering wheel column, three plugs connect to wheel
- - - DO NOT TOUCH YELLOW - - -
As this is the AIRBAG connection
Larger of the other two - find the orange/white and purple/white
A Multimeter will detect voltage drop across the two wires -> press buttons resistance changes -> each button changes resistance amount
Don’t Splice - Fully Cut - Interference issues
Straight across to A 3.5inch Stereo Jack
3 wire coming out
Connect:
Ground (from stereo) -> First pin on the bottom -> Orange/White wire
First Input (from stereo) -> Second pin -> Purple/White wire
