Mcintosh HU 5th Gen MY10 Firm/Software Update & current maps

Postby xceptional » Tue Jan 02, 2018 10:09 am

Hi

I have an issue with the Macintosh inbuilt Sat Nav system. Just last week I noticed that the map is displaying me as being out in the sea, it thinks I am in a Sub-marine not a Sub-aru  I thought it might have been just a glitch where it could not calibrate the GPS onto the map and would be alright the next time I restarted the vehicle, but alas. While the car was still running I ejected and inserted the map CD hoping it would reset the software but again no luck.

Any suggestions????

Alternatively, I was thinking, should really perform a firmware/software update on the Head Unit which may "fix" the issue anyway. Plus updated maps to the latest version would be also good.

Anyone know where I can "acquire" the software for both the HU and the maps plus instructions to do so?

Cheers

I don't think there are firmware updated. Check the audio section for the 2016 maps.
There is an option to calibrate the GPS, have you tried that?

Digging up and old thread, but all you need to do is recalibrate the GPS. Go into th GPS settings and set your direction and location.... Fixed.
