aftermarket HU and steering wheel controls

Just installed Kenwood Dpx-5000bt in 06 liberty 3.0rg and wanting some help to get SWC working.
The HU has single wire for SWC.
Will I need a Aeropro type harness or can I wire direct to original wiring ?
Which aeropro would i need or how would I wire it up.

I believe you have two options:
1) you need an adapter harness from aerpro to connect the steering wheel controls. I'd talk to the guys at automotivesuperstore.com.au my experiences with them have been great. they are extremely helpful and will tell you what you need. remember to ask them what is the best price they can do on all the gear you buy from them, they will usually give good discounts if you just ask.
2) I see some people on the forum using a Metra Axxess controller for their steering wheel controls which could be another option and there is plenty of information around for you to look at.
Admittedly, i do not have personal experience with either method and you should look into it yourself to make sure they are suitable options for your application.
