I'm Pretty sure he just means cut the wire marked park brake, and extend/connect it to the chassis of the car (earth/ground) making sure you connect the end that goes into the actual unit not the end coming out of the harness..

I would think somewhere like Jaycar would sell the pins you need.. I imagine they would be fairly standard.

I'm sure they do, but its getting the right one. Because the harness is attached to the car I can't just take a pin into the store to compare, this is the problem.
