The DVD won't magically update the interface, sadly, it's just the map data (new streets, etc.).

Yeah wish it did. before was tempted to to buy it at full retail price and take the risk to see if it updated in the interface. Happy i didnt. Cant believe they charge 295 dollars for this. But anyways thanks .

I've always wondered if there would be a way to upgrade the firmware. Couldn't find a way to do that on this model.

It's interesting that they wouldn't just base these systems on android rather than whatever junk they use now.

Seemed like they liked making custom units, but at least these days we have the streamlined Android and Apple interfaces.

Hi Victripper (&Surge)
Did you mean the you used the http://www.filedropper.com/mitsi23 download for the WISDENSOKIT2.64-23 ( C2 DENSO D1) map update and it worked on your 2012 Liberty McIntosh ?

The Torrent file download is 'Summer_Holidays.rar' .
Is this correct?

Cheers

I think it was a Sony DVD-R (not +R).
You'll be burning a data DVD, not a video or audio or anything else.

Put a blank DVD-R and used Windows 10 to burn (can't specify write speed but don't have issues, I usually select slowest write speed to reduce chance of errors, but these days it's not necessary). No special steps (should be just burning a data DVD if you're using another application).
I then put the DVD into the nav slot, the system rebooted and it's been working ever since.
