Aftermarket subs to Mcintosh head unit in gen4 spec B

Postby Rad-Daljac » Sun Jul 31, 2016 8:12 pm

Hey guys would appreciate a bit of help, I've blown the little stock sub that comes with the Mcintosh system and from my old car I've pulled out my two 12's and want to wire them up to my stock head unit only problem is at the back of the Mcintosh unit there isn't the plug ins like my old head unit for the wires (in not a genius when it comes to electronics)
Is there any solution to this? Like a external plug in or a kit to connect
Any help would be appreciated. If there is already something on this please forward it to me thanks!

Line Out Converter.

Connect your current blown sub's inputs to the inputs of the Line Out Converter. Then connect the RCA outputs from the Line Out Converter to your new amp. Adjust gain accordingly and enjoy.

Where are you located, I'm sure someone could help you out.

Jaycar, Ebay, any car audio shoppe.
You'll need to power your 2x12's with an appropriate amp, using an amp power kit eg HD cable from the battery + terminal etc.

I'm gonna take a guess and say he has the amps, amp wiring and RCA's from his previous car also.

LOC's can be had from any decent car audio shop, autobarn, jaycar etc.

My advice is don't cheap out. Get a decent quality one like a Stinger one. El-cheapo ones can induce noise into the system and you may find your subs playing a certain freq all the time. Will drive you nuts!
